MYSTERIOUS TUNNEL FOUND UNDER STREET BOSTON, Sept. 13. A mysterious tunnel just discovered under the street in Court square is thought to have been made by prisoners attempting to escape from .ih.il cells of three-quarters of a century ago .in the old courthouse, re-ccntly re-ccntly demolished to make way for a city ball 'annex. Workmon removing the last stones of tho foundation of the courthouse found the entrance to tho tuuuel some six feet below the street level. The hole was three feet snuarc and led from that part of the courthouse which in former vcar-had vcar-had been used for cells.
