MAY PAY DIVIDEND The directors of the Silver King Consolidated Con-solidated will mod In a few days to consider con-sider tho advisability of paying a holiday dividend, according to Information, given out yesterday by Solon Splro, president of the company. Mr. Splro was not willing to make any predictions concerning tho probability of a dividend declaration, nor regarding tho amount, should a dividend be declared. It Is generally believed that tho amount which will be set. aside as Christmas money for the stockholders will amount to 25 cents a share. Tho company is now sending Us ore to the smeltor, and this Is believed to be the beginning of regular shipments from the ' property. The ore la a high-grade lc.'id product nnd Is .being extracted during dur-ing the course of development on tho 1500 Intermedia le level. A drift is being driven Into the ore from this level, but this work was delayed while a station was cut prepuiatory to drifting. As the bins are now full, tho company Is compelled com-pelled to ship some oiq In order to take care of the tonnage that is being taken out In driving the drift, A bod of thirty feet of ore wns cut while sinking the shaft, Mr. Splro said, but none of this ore bus been romoved. The ore was followed vertically ver-tically for 200 feot when ledge matter was encountered. The find on the 1550. level appears to bo an Independent body, and tho management Is of the opinion that, they nre In the bedding country whero tho alternated ore deposits depos-its will be found regularly and in place. A second drift has been started from the 1550 level, and the ground .continues to show ledge 'matter. The shaft is completed com-pleted to the 1S0O level and it Is now planned to cut stations and send out drifts from both tho regular nnd Intermo- dlalc levels. |
