Show PROTEST MADE ON CAR SERVICE Residents of "Waterloo and Others in the Locality Present Petition Pe-tition to City Commission. Declaring that they are entitled to as good service as any other part of the citv, scores of residents of Waterloo Water-loo and others, who use the Waterloo street car line, have signed a petition, which was rooeived by the city recorder record-er yesterday, asking that tho city commission com-mission uso its influence with tho Utah Light & Railway company to obtain bettor service. Tho petition sets forth that tho cars used on the lino aro ancient, ramshackle, inadequate contraptions, and that tho schedule Is unsatisfactory. Tho petitioners pe-titioners want up-to-date cars and a ten-minuto schedule. A similar petition was reclvod from patrons of the Poplar Grovo lino several sever-al weeks ago and upon being reforrod to the street railway company, elicitod the announcement arom the general manager of the company that onough new car8 to relegate all tho old onoa to tho scrap heap already had been ordered. |
