Show NOTED CATTLEMAN IS FOIHMB Michael Flynn Shot in Back; His Wagon Hauled Away and Hidden. Special to The Tribune. VERNAL, Oct. 17. Another tragedy has been added to the long list committed in the famous Brown's park In the la3t twenty-II vo years. Michael Flynn, a cattle man and one of the most noted characters in this part of the country, was shot in the back with a 30-30 while driving In his wagon along the Pot creek road, twenty-five miles from Vernal, In an Isolated section. The body was discovered some time after sitting upright In front of the grub box. as If he had been preparing to cat. The wagon hud been hatiletl at least 300 yards from the scene of the tragedy Into a clump of btiHhos nnd the horses turned loose In a pasture. The presumption Is that the as-!a3Kln as-!a3Kln did This. It -Is thought the murder was committed at least a week before the body was discovered. The horses in going go-ing to water In n small stream near by had beaten a trail. There is absolutely no flew to the murderer and the chances arc there never will be. It Is claimed that Flynn had I threatened the lives of no fewer than fifteen men in Utah. Colorado and Wyoming. Wyo-ming. A Colorado man by the name of Wilson was murdered a few years ago and Flynn's wife was charged with the crime but was acquitted on the ground that the man she killed was nbuslncr hor. It has since been claimed that Wilson's body had been In the Flynn houpe three or four days when it was discovered. The charge Is that It was kept there until Flynn could got out of tho country. Brown's park Is located near tho border or I'tali. Colorado and Wyoming and for years has been tho hiding place of notorious no-torious criminals, including Tom Morn, who was hanged in Cheyenne a few yearB ago for the murder of a small boy, Eddie Nichols. |
