Show LAST HONORS PAID TO MJiGEN, GRANT President Tafj and Vice Presi-1 deni Sherman Attend Funeral Fu-neral of Officer. NOW YORK. April 26. Military' men and men prominent In public and private life gathered here today to pay the last honors to MaJ. Gen. Frederick Dent Grant, who died hero April 11. The funeral exercises ex-ercises were deferred until today to await the arrival of the general's daughter, the Princess Ca ntacuzene. from her home In Russia. The services were held in the chapel c ComellUS the Centurion on Governor's Inland. The little chapel was too small t" allow the admittance of the general public, hut an opportunity was given to all New York to pay its tribute as the long military procession made Its way to the lap of muffled drums over a five-mile lino of march from the battery to the West shore ferry Si I'"orty-second street. At the latter point the government orders provided for a special train to take the hod lo West Point lor Interment President Taft, Vice President Sherman and Gen.
