A collision between a buggy and an autoniobilo in front of tho Covoy apartments, on South Temple street, resulted re-sulted in a narrow eseapo from injury for Mrs. E. J. Chambers, who was in tho bugg', shorty after noon yesterday. yester-day. The carriage, belonging to Mrs. Richard A. Keys, of 450 East South Temple street, had been driven to tho Covey for Mrs. Chambers to tako her to the Country club. The tongue of tho buggy was broken in tho collision and tho horse, becoming becom-ing frightenod, plunged across the street, upsetting the rig. Mrs. Chambers Cham-bers extricated herself, unhurt, and the journey to the Country club was continued con-tinued in a motor car. According to Mas Olsen, salesman for the Velie Motor Car company, the accident was caused by tho attempt of the driver of the buggy to turn around, the tongue of tho uuggy striking strik-ing and breaking the wind shield of the auto, which drew up parallel to it as the turn was made. |
