was taken up the clerk stated that the railway officials had been duly notified thereof no one appearing in their behalf thion was laid on the the table TAXES W H brown collector for utah county presented a list of names of persons whose taxes he recommended to be remitted on account of erroneous erro and double assessments and of indigent persons which list was examined by the court and upon motions severally made a number of remittances and abatements were made and the clerk instructed to certify this action to the auditor of public accounts an adjournment was taken until friday afternoon on friday afternoon the committee on the spanish fork bridge presented their report which will be found in another column the sum of 1845 was appropriated to said committee to pay for the bridge the committee on provo canyon road reported aa follows your committee to whom waa re berred tin petition of john mc niell et nl asking that steps ba taken to provida a free wagon road provo canyon report that we have conferred with the county court of wasatch county and the officers of provo canyon road company with reference to said matter nd hereby recommend that utah county join with committee A P report accepted the resolution was presented and adopted as follows WHEREAS the provo canyon wagon road company a corporation organized under the laws of the territory Tarri tory of utah acquired right of way and built a waon road about one and one half miles in length thereby avoiding the heavy grades encountered in going over what is known as pole canyon hilla also rebuilt the wagon bridge across prove river at the waterfalls and made other good and substantial improvements on aba provo canyon road at considerable expense to laid company and wasatch county by an action of their county court agreed to assume one fourth of the expense of purchasing the canyon road and of jointly submitting a proposition to the aforesaid wagon road company to purchase all the rights and to the said company belonging for the sum of including the rebuilding of the wagon bridge near the waterfalls in provo canyon and WHEREAS the provo canyon road company have by notice in writing accepted the proposition to purchase submitted by the aforesaid joint committee solved that utah county pay to the the provo canyon road company the amount agreed upon as utah countes coun tys portion of the aforesaid purchase prica provided wasatch county pay to said company the um of 1000 and on the company conveying to utah and wasatch counties the franchise rights and privileges pertaining porta ining to the said road free from debt or ances and resolved He solved that utah county cafeo to be surveyed platted and established as a public highway BO much of tha aforesaid road as may be within utah county provided wasatch couty shall own and maintain as a public highway so much of said road as lies within wasatch county J D jones and A D holaway committee on lake view bridge presented a resort in substance as follows the property owners in the vicinity having purchased the right of way irom the river south to seventh street from provo city and graded the same including good approaches to the proposed bridge it is recommended that a good cile bridge feet in length be constructed across said river as soon as practicable the report was accepted and recommendation men dation adopted and
