Show MISCELLANEOUS EVENTS. Mrs. C. A. Stain entertained a large Earty of friends Friday evening at her ome in honor of Miss Sophie Pullman, who is to bo married to Eddie Stain lato in the present month. Tho Guests were entertained on the lawn surrounding surround-ing the country homo of Mrs. Stain, and the whole place was decorated with lanterns and colored lights. Mrs. Stain was assisted by Mrs. Pullman, Mrs. S. A. Macklist, Mrs. W. C. Green and Mrs. Perry Scott. ' The Pan-Hellenic societ3r will meet next Friday afternoon with Mrs. C. .T. Van Winkle, at 405 Second avenue. This is the first meeting of tho present season and it is expected that all sorority soro-rity women who are interested will attond. Mrs. John F. McEnany was the hostess host-ess at two pleasant affairs during the past week, a bridge tea on Monday at which six tables were enjoyed, and moro came in for tea, and a Kensington on Thursday in honor of Miss Elsie Franklin, who is visiting Mr. and Mrs. Fred Franklin. Miss Blanch Cardwell entertained at a luncheon last Wednesday at hor home for Miss Nora Hanson, one of the September Sep-tember brides, twelve of the young friends of tho bride boing guests. Yellow Yel-low was chosen for tho decorations and quantities of goldenglow made the luncheon table attractive. 4 A "welcome home party" was tendered ten-dered to Thomas W. Brown Saturday evoning at the home of his paronts. 409 Eighth East street. Mr. Brown recently arrived from Roftordam, Holland. The rooms wero beautifully docorated for the occasion. A pleasant ovening was spent by thoso prosont. Games wero played and prizes won by Mrs, Jacob Hill and Mrs. Joanuottc Fulmer. T. W. Brown and Douglns Enger. Tho young missionary married Miss Ines Andorson from Richfield just .previous to his departure de-parture for tho. mission field. Many were the good wishes expressed for their future welfare. The Misses' TTennio Skolfiold and Olivia Brodbeck will entertain the yellow yel-low ribbon section of the Commercial club excursion to Yollowstono on Monday Mon-day evening at the homo of Miss Brodbeck, Brod-beck, 909 Rice street, in honor of Miss La Vinna Parke, who will loavo shortly for Columbia university, Now York. . Nuttall. assisted by her daughter, Mrs. P. H. Young, entertained Tuesday afternoon in honor of her mother Mrs. Rebecca Self, the occasion occa-sion being tho seventieth birthday of the guest. Tho afternoon was spent in sowing, followed by a delicious lunch.
