we are called from the work bench and the fields to preach the word of the lord I 1 remembered in the early days when I 1 was young 0 thinking at times that my work was done but at a few hours notice I 1 would be miles away judge powers says it is a shame to build temples and spend so much money lor the baptism of the dead but he doea not know what he is talking about there ia a great deal of scripture bearing us out in the principle ot for the dead I 1 would exhort the young people especially not to neglect this sacred calling president H H cluff was the next speaker to comprehend the will of god without turning te the right or left is the great beaire of my heart we have been told if it could be possible the very elect of jod would be deceived in tb I 1 da the world was d at the time ceph smith received his people from god and society waa disturbed the lord enjoined JOB smith to join none of the sectarian religions as they were all wrong to carry out tho will of god ia not very easy we ha e the spirit of god wi th us we fir d that some of the strong orthodox char cab of to day are trembling on account odthe brought to bear against them we are required to understand the will of the lord there is a key by which we can all be enlightens d he then read a part of the chapter of the doctrine and we understand that there is an agency given to man and that he 13 responsible for themay in he uses that agency toe lord will hold ua responsible fortl e way we uee that agency and we will have to give an account of what we do on this earth if there ever was a timo to live near ti the lordia is the present there are influences which are leading us to the right and left we came out of the world in order that we might be nearer the lord and it becomes necessary that ve enjoy
