Woods, I'tnli pioneer and prominent, architect, died late this afternoon at his home. ;3I Tlilriy-thlrd street, following an Illness that had kept him at his home for the past fix months. Ho was a natlvo ot England, and came to rtnh In I860. He was well known throughout the Inter-mountain Inter-mountain states as nil architect, some of tho buildings designed by him being; St. Joseph's church, the city Jail and several schoof1 buildings In Ogden and a number of buildings In Idaho, Including the state Insane hospital at Blackfoot. It was through the talent of Mr. Woods that the plpo organ in tho Salt Luke tabernacle was made to produce satisfactory satisfac-tory results after It had baffled prominent promi-nent organ builders of the country Mr. Woods was 08 years of ago at. the tltnf- of his death.
