In a LdV yesterday with Mr. Evans it was. learned that the exeeutiva com mittee of the railroad company will hold a meeting ;t Ld.i, beginning at 11 o'clock this mornint:. to o into the terms of the franchise with thorough ne?, nd to decide ?s to whether or not the L'raut made by the city commission com-mission shall be accepted or rejected. According to Mr Evans, there nrc-some nrc-some among the men interested who feel that the revenue from the proposed pro-posed road demanded by the citj commission com-mission is burdensome. It is complained bv some of the promoters pro-moters that these financial requirements require-ments ma? work hardship upon the company. These men are of the opinion opin-ion I lint these exact ions ;re well enough, provided that some clause l"-inserted l"-inserted in the franchise which shall absolve the railwav company from the obligation imposed whenever the gross receipts from the line shall be less than the nmount required to p-iv operating oper-ating expenses, tn other wordsf if the receipts shall be under the amount expended for operation, the tax should be remitted.
