Show COMMERCIAL CLUB AIIESJIIE ousy Recruits on Both Sides Rapidly Rapid-ly Added to Rostei of Members. At a meeting of the Commercial club membership committee yesterday, thirty-seven applications for enrollment in the club were favorably passed, and will now so before the board of governors gover-nors for final action. These names have been secured bv the campaign armies since the close of the first skirmish one week ago. On Thursday, May J, the Red and Blue regiments and the Independent BCOUts "vx-ill commence the second skirmish skirm-ish of the war for new members. Hostilities Hos-tilities will last ten days, ending May ll. (Jn that date it i- planned to gie a bis smoker at the club, To which all new members and prospective members will be invited. The membership committee and the smoker committee will hold a joint Bession in the Dear fatnre to arrange for the smoker. It i planned to pre pare a programme of music, and entertainment enter-tainment that will surpass anything before attempted for such an occasion. A short meeting of the com ention fund committee also was held, attended attend-ed lv W. P. Jensen, the Hev. P. A. Simpkin and others. No definite action was taken |
