Ogden high school, In full dress uniform and with Hags lowered, low-ered, the body of .1. Leland Carlson, a former student at the school, was laid at rest In the Mountain View cemetery this afternoon, following Impressive services at tho. Church of tho Good Shepherd at 3 o'clock'. The services at the church were conducted con-ducted by the Rev. W. W. Fleetwood. The beautiful service of tho Episcopal church were attended by the student body of the high school, in which young Carlson was popular, relatives and a large number of other rrlcnds, who filled tho church to its capacity. The funeral cortege was led by the cadets ca-dets and closely followed by Coach Brown and members of the victorious high school football eleven, of which Carlson was a member for three years. Young Carlson died in Chicago last Sundav afternoon after a. short Illness, from appendicitis. Ho was attending tho Northwestern university, taking his soe-ond-vear course In pharmacy. His sister. sis-ter. Mrs. Alta Kaplan, was with him at the Wesley hospital when death came, and accompanied the body to Ogden on the Overland Limited yesterday afternoon. after-noon. Besides being a member of tho Ogden Og-den High School Alumni association. Carlson belonged to the Phi Delta Chi fraternity and other organizations at the Northwestern university. He Is survived by his father and two sisters, Mrs. Kaplan Kap-lan and Marie Carlson. The following resolutions of sympathy were adopted by the senior class at tho Northwestern university: "We, the members of the senior class of Northwestern university school of pharmacy, feeling that our class has sustained sus-tained the loss of one of lis most valued classmates In the death of J.
