Show INFLUENZA IS HEALTH PROBLEM IN BINGHAM A highly infectious form of influenza in-fluenza is prevalent in Bingham and continues to be of concern to health officers. At Bingham high school most of the 96 absences ab-sences reported yesterday were attributed to the flu. Local hospitals were unable to give figures but reported a large number of mine employees absent ab-sent from work because of severe colds and flu. At the Bingham Central school an average of one-fourth the students stu-dents have beon absent from classes daily this week because of flu. One day last week 101 absences, with nearly one-third the entire school at home being treated for illness, was reported. Principal R. R. Bell says there are now fewer absences and that the peak has probably passed. |
