Show Miu Maureen Looney It June Bride Of interest here is the news of the wedding of Miss Maureen Looney, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Looney, 155 Fourth Eas street, Salt Lake City, and Joseph J. Koos of 78 Sixth avenue, Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Looney are former Bingham residents. Miss Maureen is a graduate of Bingham high school, class of 1937, and a former student of St. Mary-of-the-Wasatch and the University of Utah. The ceremony was solemnized at the Cathedral of the Madeleine by the Kt. Rev. Monsignor Patrick Pat-rick F. Kennedy on June 5. The bride was lovely in a white satin gown, fashioned with long sleeves, sweetheart neckline ana a train. From a halo of lace and pearls fell a veil of bride's illusion. illus-ion. She carried a white prayer-book. prayer-book. Mrs. Joseph A. Looney Jr. as matron of honor wore maize mousseline de soie, a matching circular veil from a coronet of blue cornflowers. She carried a bouquet of sweet peas and cornflowers. corn-flowers. Joseph A. Looney Jr., brother of the bride, was best man. Mrs. John B. Bradley played for the wedding. The bride's mother wore a navy blue model. Mrs. William R. Koos, the bridegroom's mother, moth-er, chose black. Both wore gardenias gar-denias and sweet peas. A wedding breakfast at Jeanne's Jean-ne's tearoom. Salt Lake City, followed the ceremony. The couple are honeymooning on the Pacific coast. They will make their home in Salt Lake City. |
