T0N0PAH EXTENSION IS MAKING GOOD PROFITS During tho month of March the Tonopah Tono-pah Extension company produced twenty-eight twenty-eight bars of gold and silver bullion, weighing 3991 pounds, for which the sum of $12,000 was received. This bullion was squeezed from 4014 tons of oi-e during dur-ing the month, which lacked nearly threo days of operations on account of power troubles. Regarding the importance of the company's com-pany's own mill, the Tonopah Minor says: "The ore treated shows a considerable increase In value over that of Februarv. and the month's run of mine and mill will result In theplaclng In tho treasury of a Bnug sum of money, thus demonstrating the wisdom of constructing a mill, for had the ore been shipped to tho smelter It Is extremely doubtful whether the company com-pany would have broken even. With Its own reduction works, located right at the shaft. General Manager KIrchen has been enabled to carry on an extensive campaign bf development work and to place the mine In tho best of condition, besides netting from $175,000 to $200,000 as tho result of operations during the year closing March 31. "This is a record which speaks volumes vol-umes for tho efficiency of the management manage-ment and the wisdom of erecting a mill to work the ores of tho company. The rocent change In tho mill, whereby all concentration was done away with, do-pending do-pending entirely upon leaching for extraction ex-traction of the values, appears to be entirely en-tirely successful, and will result in adding add-ing an increased profit on each ton of oro worked, the. expensive costs of marketing market-ing the concentrates bolng eliminated."
