Show BELOVED OGDEN GIRL IS CALLED BY DEATH Special to Tho Tribune, OGDEN, Aug. 31. Miss Rachel Emily Browning, the 20-year-old daughter of Chief of Police and Mrs. Thomas E. Browning, died at the family homo, (585 Twenty-seventh street, about 4 o'clock this morning, after months of patient suffering from complicated stomach troubles. trou-bles. Miss Browning was ono of Og-den's Og-den's most popular and beloved young Indlos. She has been in poor health for about, one year, and In spite of every effort of the attending physicians she has steadily declined. During tho early part of August .the young lady had to take to her bed. She gradually became so weak that the surgical operation advised ad-vised by the physicians could not be performed per-formed At midnight Tuesday sho realized real-ized that tho end was near, and called the members of her family to her bedside bed-side to hid them farewell. Mips Browning was born in Ogden on January 1, ISflO, Sho graduated from tho Weber academy last year, where she was exceptionally popular with his classmates class-mates and teachers, because of her bright and nunny disposition. For a number of years she has been a Sunday school teacher In the Fifth ward, and was among the most enthusiastic church workers among the young people of that ward. The funeral services will be held at the Fifth ward meeting houso Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, by Bishop H. C. Jacobs. A cablegram was sent to Dow Browning, Brown-ing, now on a mission at Zurich, Switzerland, Switz-erland, Informing him of his sister's death. |
