February 11. 1310. and that it had been opened by Sheriff: Brttf and the jury commissioners before the March jury was drawn, former Common Councilman John Bergman and T. P. "Wallace today asked quarter sessions court to quash the Indictments for the alleged acceptance of money for their votes In support of measures passed by councils. It is alleged that Commissioner Fleming Flem-ing never took the oath of office; that Harrison Nesblt. the bank presldont foreman fore-man of the grand Jury, was not a qualified quali-fied voter; that witnesses were not legally legal-ly sworn, and the indictments were novor approved by a committing magistrate. If these indictments uro quashed it will affect more than one hundred graft Indictments. |
