Show FOR RAILROADS full text of a hood law which is not enforced the following law was enacted by the last legislature and up to the present it has never been enforced it seems to us that the provisions are good ones dispatchers an act re quirin railroad Eail road companies and train dispatchers to make public the time of departure of trains SECTION 1 Bs it enacted by the governor and assembly of the territory of utah that it shall be the duty f each and every train dispatcher of the several railroad companies now or hereafter running passenger trains in this territory to cause to ae made public by the agent at every telegraph station within liia respective jurisdiction not less than fifteen minutes before the schedule time of departure of each train carrying passengers the time of such departure on a bulletin board placed in a conspicuous and public place at such station if from any cause the departure of any such train is delayed the probable duration of such delay shall at once be so bulletined bulle tined SEC 2 every train dispatcher failing to furni sli the information required in the proceeding section to the station agent at every telegraph station within his jurisdiction and every such station agent failing to make public the information so furnished as herein provided is guilty of a misdemeanor SEC 3 each and every company or corporation running and operating railway trains and carrying passengers within this territory shall instruct and cause every train dispatcher or any other officer in his employ having the management or control of ane moving of passenger trains to make public in the manner provided in section I 1 of this act the information required herein A failure so to do shall make the company or corporation so failing liable for all damages and costs that may be sustained by any person by reason of euca failure approved march 12 1890 |
