F". Bowman Saturday afternoon and said that sho would refuse to appear against her husband In tho event that he was brought to trial. Whllo Karth was at tho county jail ,lt was discovered that he was suffering from pus, which was forming In the wounds ho had Inflicted on his throat in his effort to kill himself after he shot his wife. County Physician Odell ordered him removed to St. Mark's hospital, and an operation was performed In tho hope of allovlating his suffering. Karth is in a critical condition at the hospital. "VVhon Mrs. Karth heard that her husband hus-band was at tho hospital In a critical condition she called on Assistant County Attorney Bowman and stated that sho had changed her mind about-"a"pncarIng against her husband. Sho said that sho Is proparlng to leave the city and return to her relatives in Nebraska.
