Almost constantly there appears some mlsurrtleratandlng as to tho true nature of tho nllment of some person, per-son, which frequently, desplto the doctors, doc-tors, develops Into a harmless rash or some simple skin eruption. Struder. whose appearance in Huntsvlllc several days ago almost precipitated pre-cipitated a pnnle. because there was a ?lpltr.?n,ptlon n hls "cck The fact that Struder had been In the clly jail at Ogden, which was quarantined on account ac-count of several cases of genulno smallpox, small-pox, added to the excitement. Strudcr was dragged from the home of friends in Huntsvllle by order of the county commissioners and thrown into tho pest house of the city. Now comes Dr. Anna Tiles, tho city physician, and says that the man ha nothing oven sllghtlv resembling- smallpox, but that he may contract con-tract the dlscnse If he Is allowed to stay In the pesthouse, where there aro several cases. This condition -with similar cases has caused many people who really have the disease In. their homes to believe that thero Is a bare possibility of It being some other ailment and refuso to notify he health authorities until tho disease Is In an advanced stage. |
