Chanler were met with vigorous denials by Stale Chairman Connors and Charles F. Murphy, leader of Tammany Hall, tonight. " ' Mr. Murphy said that if any such fund was being raised ho knew nothing noth-ing of it, and that not. a bit of it had reached Tammany Hall. Chairman Connors characterized the -report as tho invention of opponents of the Democratic party.
