The afternoon was occupied by Mr. Horace 2scbckcr, who gave a most interesting in-teresting talk on ancient and modern literature. Two new members, Mrs. Lee Thatcher and Miss Veda Thatcher, were voted iu. Delicious refreshments wore served. Mrs. Bobinson was assisted as-sisted by Mrs. J. E. Cnrdon, Mrs. A. L. Cole and Mrs 0. W. On next Wednesday the now public libraiy will 'be opened to the public and dedicated with impressive ceremonies, which will be held at Jl o'clock p. m., and will consist of speeches by Maj'or Andrew L. Mitchell of this city, Governor Gov-ernor Spry, Senator Sutherland. Congressman Con-gressman Howell and other state officers. offi-cers. There will probably bo excursions run to Tintic from Salt Lake and valley towns, and a largo crowd of visitors is expected to witness the dedication. Jn the evening a grand banquofc will be given in honor of the event at Elks' hall. The library is an impressive structure struc-ture and cost over $12,000 for its erection. erec-tion. The furniture, which is now being put. in place, is magnificent, and was especially designed for the structure. The interior portion of the building is of handsome design and vory attractive. The library will start with several thousand thou-sand volumes of the best works of celebrated cele-brated authors and poets. Frank D.
