C, who Is one of the best known and most popular popu-lar shots In the country, arrived In Salt Lake City a few days ago. and Is persuading per-suading the Salt Lake Gun club to Join the national organization of marksmen, which has set out to do. up tho shell and cartridge trust. The Idea of the sportsmen's organization organiza-tion Is to get all shots In tho country Interested, In-terested, with the purpose of having cartridges and shells manufactured by sportsmen. The national organization already al-ready has patents for everything necessary, neces-sary, and expects to begin to manufacture manufac-ture cartridges and shells within the next three months. Mr. Smith staled Sunday that the sportsmen's organization will be able to turn out shells for $1S per thousand, whereas the trust now holds up the hunters and clay men for 32 per thousand thou-sand shells. The Salt Lake shots aro enthusiastic over the idea, and most of them have Joined the national organization to make tholr own cartridges and shells. |
