Ohio National Guard matches, which closed Friday, were the most successful in tho history of that organization and tho places vacated by tho state guards-I guards-I men aro being taken by those from all parts of tho United States. Tomorrow tho Catrow cup will bo contested for and tho large list of entries tonight gives promise of exciting sport- The condl-! condl-! tlons mako It a rival of the Leach cup, l being seven shots at 800, 000 and 1000 ' yards. Colonel IT. G. Catrow of the Ohio ' National Guard has given a $500 cup for I this match, and there aro twelve cash prises with a gold medal to tho winner, who also keeps the cup for one year. Tomorrow To-morrow afternoon the "re-entry team skirmish match" Is scheduled. This Is unique from tho fact that teams can reenter re-enter and is open to practically everybody every-body desiring to compete, except those which correspond to their standing last I year. As tho number of teams an or-! or-! panizatlon may enter Is unlimited, as Is I tho number of runs to be made, a wildly exciting contest is expected. I Many Prizes and Cups. On Tuesday the adjutant general's cup match will be shot with twenty shots at 1000 yards. This is a new match corresponding cor-responding to tho time-honored "Wimbledon "Wimble-don cup" match and carries with It a 5500 cup, a gold medal and twclvo cash prises. In tho afternoon is the Potors Skirmish match and the DuPont lndlvld- ual Tyro match. For this match the I DuPont company gives $250, to which the Ohio State Rifle association has added ' $150, tho money being divided into forty-I forty-I . three prizes, Tho distance Is 800 yards and the match is open to any one who has never won a first, second or third ! prizes in an N. R. A. match, the national individual match or who lias not shot on one of tho first six teams In a national match. It Is unnecessary to say that the Her-rlck Her-rlck trophy match 6n Wednesday will bring out a large number of teams. This Is one of the richest matches In the country, coun-try, and carries with it tho Herrlck trophy, valued at thousands of dollars and presented by ex-Gov. Myron T. Ilcr-rick Ilcr-rick of Ohio. It Is open to teams of eight i and there will be fifteen shots per man i at iSOO, 900 and 1000 yards. The winning i team will hold the trophy for a year and I will receive $200 in cash and Individual ' medals. It Is strictly a military match. I On Thursday the Governor's match will i be shot. This match Is designed to cor-; cor-; respond to the President's match, which is shot under the auspices of tho National Na-tional Rifle association, and Includes a skirmish run, 200 yards slow fire.
