dawsons Daw sons family and captain dawson visited mcdow at his office to remonstrate with him words and blows followed and the encounter ended in mcdowd shooting captain pawson through the heart the murderer then locked up his office and went out three hours later he surrendered himself to the police authorities and the body of the murdered man was found lying in mcdowd office the murder causes intense excitement and there is talk of lunching lynching lyn ching the murderer has the reputation of a rake tonight to night the city is wrape in mourning and the murder is the subject of discussion
