Bell's success was due to tho consistent, consist-ent, steady work of both driver nnd car. and tho excellent time made, considering tho rough course, of two hours, four minutes min-utes and eight seconds was not tho result re-sult of great bursts of speed, but rather to the clock-like running of his car. In fact both Studcbaker cars performed consistently con-sistently during tho entire- race. Tho course was 11. 0 miles In length, and tho drivers circled this course seven times, making the total distance 102.2 miles. It will thus bo seen that Boll's average lime for tho entire race was a little over IS mllep per hour. |
