SAN FRANCISCO ITALIANS ARE PROMPT TO RESPOND SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 30. Of the 30.-000 30.-000 Italians In San Francisco, about S000 are from tho districts stricken by the disaster which bus befallen their country. Many camo here leaving' part of their families behind, and grief and suspense prevail in many homes. All aro anxiously awaiting personal messages from friends and relatives In Italy. They have decided de-cided to send tho relief money, tho collection col-lection of which already haa begun, through the San Frunclsco branch of the National Red Cross. A committee composed com-posed of tho Italian consul, presidents of four Italian banks and twenty Kalian societies and editors of the Italian papers, has been formed to aid tho Red Cross In collecting money and will consldqr the advisability of giving a series of bcnellU?.
