Carl Xclsen, a Norwegian forty years old, a victim of Insomnia, was taken to the county Jail suffering from Insanity In a light form, produced by loss of sleep, Tuesday night. Nelson, It Is said, has not slept an hour in four weeks. Nelson has no relatives In this country Far across tho sea, In cold Norway. Is a wife whom he la anxious to rejoin, having hav-ing been separated from her live years. Until recently ho worked In the mines at Park City, but sleopIcssncsH undermined under-mined his health, and ho had lo glvo up heavy work- Ho came to Salt Lokn City and got light employment, such as sweeping sweep-ing out saloons, but Insomnia preyed upon his mind as well as his health and Hyrum Streiberg of Twelfth South and Second "West streets, with whom he had been staving, took him Tuesday night to Dr. C. L., Olson of 032 Fifth East street, who said that Nelsen Is slowly losilns his mind from being unablo to gain sleep. Upon the physician's recommendation Nelsen was taken to the county Jail, Ho prob-ablv prob-ablv will be sent to a hospital In an effort ef-fort to give, him relief and' save his tottering tot-tering reason. |
