and class officers are being elected by a new method of voting under the direction direction di di- direction of the student council In previous years ballots have been carried around to all classes and students have voted in their classes This method look took some class time and students stu stu- students dents often voted rather apathetically apathetically apa apa- without giving much thought to the matter I This year voting is done before before before be be- I fore school during the noon hour and after school at assigned voting booths with the voters being checked off oU the list of oC eligible voters Though the number voting is not so great as when ballots are carried to the classes council members feel fecI there ismore Ismore is ismore more interested and intelligent voting and happy happ with the innovation May 1 5 is the day tentatively set for separate assemblies of the boys and girls at Bountiful High Mr King Kung is scheduled to speak to the girls on items of special were taken to participate in the BYU relays relays relays re re- lays Friday afternoon b by their coach Mr 11 Sandberg The three were Jeff Wensel and Lowell Murdock to participate in doubles dou dou- bles competition and Wayne Johnson as a singles tor Though the boys did not pass their first round match they did their best and felt their experience will aid for future competition this year ear and also for next year The doubles team played a Springville entry and lost in straight sets The single en entry h from Bountiful won one of the three sets played All of these boys are juniors Tennis is a is coming out and the prospects are arc looking up for future years Bountiful track stars came carne back from their participation in the BYU Invitational Meet 1 with some honors to their cred credo
