The question of Improving the public road between Salt Lake and Ogden so that II will be available for the uso of automobllos, bicycles, wagons and other vehicles will be taken up nt a mass meeting meet-ing at the Commercial club Friday evening, even-ing, May 22, when It Is expected to havo present the Mayor nnd City Council of Salt JLako City, prominent officials of tho city government of Ogden. tho Commissioners Commis-sioners of Salt Lake. Weber and Davis counties, representatives of the Wobor club or Ogden, and others who are inter-, inter-, ested in the project of bringing about better road conditions between the two cities. This matter was thoroughly discussed at a meeting of the subcommittee of the Commercial club good roads committee Friday ovenlng, at which thero were present T. H. Smith, chairman of tho general committee, and Joseph Peerv, president of tho Weber County Good Hoads association. The members of tho subcommittee are as follows: Jesse C-Llttlo, C-Llttlo, DewJtt B. Lowe, Charles A. Qulg-ley Qulg-ley and George T. Odell. This meeting grew out of a previous meeting held earlier in tho week bv the whole commlttoo at which it was decided to bring to tho attention of the Mayor and City Council and tho County Commissioners Com-missioners the need of bettering the roads betwoon Salt Lake City and Ogden and to promise on the part of tho Commercial club and the various committees a vigorous vig-orous co-operation ln any Improvements they might suggest. 1 |
