Show FUNERAL SERVICES OF MRS. H. M. CARUTHERS The funeral of Mrs. H. M. Carruthers. j nn old-tlmo settler of this valley, and the mother of William D. Haywood, secretary secre-tary and treasurer of tho Western Federation Fed-eration of Miners, who died last Sunday at her home in this city, was held Thursday Thurs-day afternoon at St. Paul's cathedral. Rev. Charles 13. Perkins officiated at the service and tho music was furnished by the rathedral choir. Mr. Perkins spoke of Mrs. Carruthcrs's life as being one of exceptional purity. The large auditorium was well filled and there was an abundance abund-ance of flowers, most of which were ro3os and carnations. Mr. Haywood came all the way from Pennsylvania to be present at tho funeral. fu-neral. He arrived here Wednesday evening even-ing aud will probably remain for about a week. The surviving members of the family. In addition to Mr. Haywood, are Mrs. C. R. Tucker. Mrs. .lamas Kllleen, .Miss Lottie Carruthers. Newton Carruth-ore Carruth-ore and Milton Carruthers.
