Whitefish Season Gomes to Close Utah's first winter Rocky Mountain Whitefish season comes to a close on four waters wa-ters this Saturday, Feb. 15. the department of fish and game reminded this week. Waters affected are Logan River proper downstream from the right fork of Logan River in Cache County. Blacksmith Fork river proper downstream from Curtis Creek in Cache County, Duchesne River proper prop-er downstream from the confluence con-fluence of the north and west forks of the Duchesne Rivc in Duchesne and Uintah Counties Coun-ties and the Weber River proper prop-er in Davis, Morgan and Summit Sum-mit Counties. The two and one-half month season has been termed highly . successful by depnr t m e n t spokesmen and anglers alike with a whitefishing season al- ready so for next winter. j The special fishing period has accomplished the two-fole i purpose of supplying an off season sporting activity tr hundreds of anglers while the cause of management was furthered fur-thered by helping to hold in- creasing whitefish populations i 4 .l.nllnhln !
