LOUIS, Oct. O.-rNothing has done so much to arouse the people in St. Louis as tho immense number of parasites or tape-worms thatar'e lieing rcnioved from individuals by a preparation prepa-ration known ns Cooper's New Discovery. Discov-ery. This preparation is being introduced in this city for the first time by L. T. Cooper, the young philanthropist, who has mudo and is making a fortuno by its salo. The medicine is prepared at Dayton, Ohio, and is sold for various forms of stomach trouble. It i3 now being sold in St, Louis iu such enormous enor-mous quantities as to have caused a general discussion by physicians throughout the city. Cooper claims that much suffering is tho result of tapeworms, and stated early during his visit that the creatures crea-tures were responsible for fifty per cent of all stomach trouble This claim seems to be verified as fully one-half of the individuals who have takcu this preparation have beon relieved re-lieved of onC of these creatures. A reporter who spent an hour at Cooper's headquarters, secured statements state-ments from a number of people, who brought ono of tho creatures to the young man, yesterday. The following are eome of these statements and aro similar to all tho ret: Mr. Chas. H. Muctz, living at 4031 Easton Ave., who brought with him a tapeworm about fifty icct in length, when questioned, said: "I havo been iu poor health for eight yenrs, I havo attributed it to my stomach, although I was not certain just what was the matter with me. T felt dull most of the time and tho least exertion tired mo. I had a verv irregular appetite and always had a coated tongue. I was troubled with sliortncss of breath, headaches, dizziness, sleeplessness and would sec specks before my eyes if I stooped over and raised up quickly." "My worst trouble was that I seemed to lack all ambition and it was difficult dif-ficult to attend to my business as I always felt tirod even after a night's sleep. My mind seemed dull and slup- 'ish most oi 'o time und I bad difficulty in remembering. I have had headache a great deal and havo done everything possible, but could get no rcliof. " "I heard so much of this man Cooper, Coop-er, that last Wednosda- I bought a bottle of his preparation. T did not use it till yesterday, whon I took two doses of it and about two hours ago a parasite left my system. T know now what made mo feed so badly all these .years. I consider this tho most j remarkable preparation I ever heard of. It has mado life worth living for me once more and I am very thankful. thank-ful. ' The statement of Mr. William Bracken, of 720 Morgan St., was as follows: "I had suffered with stomach stom-ach trouble for three years. I was not sick enough to bo iu bed, but iust felt bad all the time. My greatest trouble was that I always felt tired, would get up in the morning feeling as tired as when I went to bed." "I had a very irregular appetite and was troubled with dizzy snells. If I stood for any longth of timo I would have a dull pain in the lower part of my back. I was nervous and felt all the timo as though something terrible ter-rible was going to happen. Mv mom-orv mom-orv has been getting bad during the past year and my 03'esicht js not as keen 'ns it was, I have tried manj' kinds of medicines but nothing ever helped me." "I had about given up all hope of ever being in good health again, when I heard so much of Cooper and decided de-cided to try hist medicines. I bought one bottlo of his New Discovery, as it is called. T took just three doses of tho medicine and this tapeworm, which is over scventv feet in length, left my system. I never suspected that I had this thing. I feel better already and believe 1 will got back some of the flesh I had lost during tho past few years. I would uot havo that thing in me again for a thousand dollars." These statements and others liko them go far toward accounting for Cooper's immense success here and elsewhere. So far every claim made by the young man seems to have been verified. |
