Show CARISA ORE BODIES SHOW IIP SPLENDIDLY Practically All Levels Contain High-Grade Copper, Gold and Silver Ores. That tho Carisa ore developments are simply astounding, even to one who has endeavored to keep track of this property, prop-erty, is the verdict of Joo Jenkins, who has just returned from an inspection of this Tintic mine. iMr. Jenkins stated Wednesday that he v.-as in no manner prepared for the disclosures the present efficient management has disclosed, and he unreservedly entitles it one of the tfreat mines of Tintic. The developments upon the 300-foot levol, he states are extremely fine. The management man-agement has fully 20 feet width on this lovel of ore which can bo mado to assay almost prohibitive values An upraise from the 300-foot levol has disclosed the same body of ore had on the 200-foot level, but which was lost temporarily. This ore body is ten or more feet across, and its mineral contents con-tents are very rich. Those values aro S16.S0 gold, 20 ounces silver and 3.2 per cent copper. This range of values was not secured by picked sample, but may bo stated positively to be the average aver-age of this body. The developments upon the 350-foot and 500-foot levels aro equally as satisfactory. On tho 700-foot levol tho management has driven a winze upon tho largo deposit of iron while working east on this low level. This winze has penetrated this iron, and has encountered a bodyof copper ore which is worthy of its fellows fel-lows on the upper levels. This iron deposit, states Mr. Jenkins, is merely a capping, and tho red metal valnes leaching through have been deposited de-posited beneath in generous quantities and value. The lattdr proposition is fully carried out by the specimens of ore brought from tfiis winze. JIv Jenkins Jen-kins speaks very highly of the quality of workmanship that has been dis-plaj-cd by Superintendent Hoffman underground un-derground in the Carisa. Upon the application ap-plication of a small amount of capital the mine can be placed in shape to bo one of tho banner red metal producers of the State, and that this will be done Mr. Jenkins expresses no doubt whatever. what-ever. After sampling and having assays madle of tho ores taken, Mr. Jenkins givjs the following figures on the Carfsa ore resources: 200 levol Copper Cop-per 36 per cent; silver, 23; gold, $2.40. Same level, ultra copper ore, 30 per cent. 300 level Copper. 33; silver, 9; gold, SO cents.. Raise above 300, twenty feet 17 copper. 22 silver, S1G.S0 gold. 350 level Copper, 31; silver, 2S: gold, $2. 250 level, extreme south Copper, 19.5; silver, 22; gold. $2. 500 level, southeast Copper, 44.S; silver, 9; gold, $1.20. |
