No. 5. and the Woman's Relief corps No. 3 Of the same ost held a Joint meeting at their hall on Market street on the evening even-ing of January C. 1906 for the Installation Of their respective ofllcers-elect for the ensuing year, H P Hums, past department depart-ment commander olllclatlng Installing officer for the posl and Mis Joffreyc past president, for the Relief corps. The installation in-stallation exercises of the Relief corps were performed in a beautiful manner and with a military exactness that was almost al-most perfect. Mrs Owens, as conductor. was especially applauded Mrs. H. p! Bums Is now president. Mrs Showaker, th retiring president was presented with .1 badgi which bright nnd glowing, but not more so than the speeches of the giver and the recl- Alfred Kent having served his post as commander for three years and having accjiilred the lov, ;ind good will of everv member of the ,ot nnd corps, was presented pre-sented a line gold badge The badge was presented as the sentence of a court-martial, which afforded considerable amuse ment and was followed bv ,1 fine display of oraton and music.
