Tnc wedding was a quiet one, witnessed by only the relatives of tho two families and a few close friends of the bride, the ceremony being performed per-formed by Blehop F. S, Spalding at S:C0 0 clock. Thc parlors were beatttlfullv decorated with sprays of syrlnga and white roses, the llowcrs being banked along the mantel and In the windows. The ceremony was performed In front of tho large bow window, which was garlanded gar-landed with syrlnga and smllax. The brldo wore a beautiful gown of white chiffon cloth, and carried brides' roses. There wore no attendants. Tho decorations decora-tions In tho dining-room were In red a bed of American beauty roees and peonies peo-nies forming tho centerpiece. Mrs. Joseph Jo-seph Richards and Mrs. Fred Bird poured coffee, and were assisted by the Mlssos Mario Odell. Emma McCalllstor and Irene Hanson. Tho library was bright with a profusion of yellow rosea and buttercups. butter-cups. Punch was served bv Mrs Fred Sinclair. Mrs. William N. Grav. Miss Genevo Horllck and Miss Nettle Luman. The wedding march was played bv Miss Sinclair as the bride, accompanied bv her brother. Harold Bird, entered the parlor. Mr. and Mrs. Sterling left on the late train for Portland, where they will make their futuro home. The bride wore a going-away gown of green, with hat to match. Ono of tho most enjoyable receptions given in the city for some time was the one last evening at tho homo of Bishop Franklin S. Spalding on East First South street, In honor of Dean and Mrs. Benjamin Brewster of Colorado, who have rccontly come to tho city, and the visiting clergy who are in attendance for the annual convocation. During the evening even-ing the rooms were thronged and over three hundred guests called to welcome the new dean. Tho hall was gay with Japancso lantorns and blankets. seUcd and cozy corners being arranged In various vari-ous places. The hall was prettily decorated deco-rated with pink roses, the flowers being arranged in jardlnors In tho corners and vases on the upper landing. Tho punch bowl was banked with thc fragrant flowers, and wcro presided over during the evening by Miss Margaret Harris and Miss Selma Wnll. Tho decorations In tho parlor were entirely In yellow and white, thc mantel arid book cases were banked with tho flowers and trails of yellow roses, and syrlnga hung from thc top of the mantel to the grate. Low bowls of thc flowers were effectively placed about tho room. The receiving Earty included Bishop Spalding. Mrs. J. Spalding, Dean und Mrs. Brewster, Rev. and Mrs. Charles E. Perkins. Red was the color used In the dlnlngroom, and very effective were tho decorations. A bed of damask roses was In the center of the tablo with broad streamers of crimson ribbon and runners of Ivy extending ex-tending to the four corners. Tho silver candalabrum was filled w-lth red candles and shaded in crimson, single candle sticks being at thc comers, shaded In tho prevailing color. Mrs. George Morrow Mor-row and Mrs. C. D. Moore poured coffee, and were assisted by Mrs. N. S. Putnam. Mrs Alfred H. Peab'ody. Mrs. M. Phoutz and Mrs. Fisher Harris. The library was prottllv decorated with pink and white-rose, white-rose, "the flowers being arranged In low bowfs along the book cns.es and desk. A larco bowl of tho roses formed thc centerpiece cen-terpiece of the library table, with ferns extending to tho corners. Thc marrlago of Miss Carrie Vincent and David Sprunt took placo laet evening even-ing at thc home of tho bride, and was witnessed by only tho relatives of the young people. The ceremony wns performed per-formed by Bishop Williamson at 8 o'clock. The brldo wore a dainty gown of white net over taffeta, and carried brides' roses. Sho was attended by her sister, Miss Daisy Vincent, who wore pink silk mull, nnd carried pink roues. The best man was Wlllurd Fleishman. Following tho ceremony an Informal wedding supper was served The rooms wcro prctlly decorated with roses and carnations.
