Show SCHOOL DISTRICT TR1MSTAX LEVY A reduction of 1.35 nulls in its 1940 tax levy was reported to the Salt Lake county commission in-day in-day by the board of education of the Jordan school district. The district this year will nceQ a tax levy of 6.5 mills, compared with 7.85 in 1939, according to a communication from Dr. Paul b. Richards, board president, and S A. Rasmussen of Sandy, clerk. Budget for the district this year is $619,802.05, including $50S,tJi for operation and maintenance; $113,671.05 for purchase of sites, construction of buildings, alterations altera-tions and equipment, and $1000 for debt service. Items of income, aside from taxes, are $147,236.70 from . the $25 per capita state school fund $1065.35 from the uniform nign school fund; $3500 from the state high school fund, and $6500 from miscellaneous sources, a total o $158,302.05.
