Show Hi Left in Three Trains Early This Morning for Los Angeles. PARTY NUMBERS NEARLY SEVEN HUNDRED PEOPLE Are Out for a Good Time and Doubtless They Will Enjoy the Trip. Nealry 700 T31ka, their friends, wives and flweothcarts from Salt Lake, Provo, Ogdcn, Eureka and other cities In tho State, left for Los Angeles this morning over tho Salt Lako Route In three special spe-cial trains, or to bo moro correct. In thrco sections of No. 1. The llrst section left shortly after midnight. About half an hour later tho second section departed de-parted and about 1.S0 all wcro westward bound. Some "Were Late Comers. Tho majority of the excursionists are from Salt Lako, although about 200 aro from tho other cities named and a few others will bo picked up en route. At a lato hour In the afternoon 075 tickets had been sold, but a number of later-comers purchased tickets late last night at tho depot. Record Excursion. This Is probably tho largest excursion of Its kind that haa ever left Salt Lake. It is virtually an exodus and the City of tho Angels will almost think It an Invasion. In-vasion. Every one on board has mado up his or her mind to havo what la commonly denominated "a good time," and doubtless they will havo It. Friends Wished Them Bon Voyage. A largo number of friends of tho ox-curslonlsts ox-curslonlsts were at the depot to bid tho travelers bon voyage. J. L. Moore, district dis-trict passengor agent of tho San Pedro, accompanied tho party and J. S. Hammond, Ham-mond, representing Hotel del Coronado, Is also on the train to personally conduct con-duct tho excursionists to his paradise. |
