Show EXHIBIT COMMITTEES GET TOGETHER AGAIN One Proposition for Site Is Submitted Sub-mitted and Will Be Considered. Con-sidered. Tho committees from tho Stato fair, tho Real Estato and tho M, and M. associations, appointed ap-pointed for considering plans for amalgamating amalgamat-ing tho threo local exhibits Into one, met Tuesday noon at luncheon at tho Commercial club. Tho object of Tuosday'o meeting was to hear the report of tho sub-committee of ono member mem-ber from each of tho threo societies represented represent-ed on the general commltteo on tho progress mndo In obtaining proposals for a site, and building for tho permanent location of the proposed combined exhibits. Proposal of Clawson. This coinmlllco consists of W. J. Halloran of tho Real Estato association. Lester D. Freed for the Stuto Fair nssoclaUon In tho absenco of President J O. McDonald, and J. R Brurr of tho M. and M. association. Mr. Ilallonm, as chairman, staled that so far but ono proposal had been submitted for a site. Tho proposal wafl mado by Spencer ClRwson, who, whon furnished with donnlt data. Is willing to provide a building for the oxhlblt on Stato street. Just south of tho Free Public library. Tho committees were given further tlmo to Investigate and to figure out dotalls of tho project, and will moot at tho cull of President O II. Hewlett of the gon-eral gon-eral committee. Ensign Is Secretary. Of this general committee, Horaco S. Ensign, En-sign, secretary of the State Fair association, was at Tuesday's meeting made permanent secretary. Mr Ensign was also Instructed to communicate with tho ofllcorH of tho Utah Art Institute and of the Slnto Historical society, so-ciety, with the vlow of securing tholr exhibits, exhib-its, to bo added to tho proposed combined exhibit. ex-hibit. Proposition Is Favored. The members of tho general commltteo present pres-ent discussed informally tho proposition under consideration, and the tenor of tholr remarks was unanimously and earnestly In favor of the move. Those present at the mooting and luncheon were O. H. Hewlett, J. R. Valentine. W. J. Halloran, II. S. Ensign, J. R. Bruff. Joseph A. Sliver and C. W. Johnson. |
