Show MUSICAL RECITAL Pupils of Anton Pederson Gave Entertainment En-tertainment Last Night. An audience crowding to overflowing the auditorium of tho Congregational church assembled Tuesday night to listen to the musical recital given by tho pupils of Anton Pederson. assisted by Robert Blrkln, a pupil of Miss Slgrld Pederson. The programme waa n somewhat lcrgthy one, but was admirably sustained throughout. No oncorcs wero permitted, so Its rendition was accelerated. Pupils All Did Well. The pupils In every department roflt-ct-ed the greatest credit on tholr Instructor. Whether the artist performed on the violin, vio-lin, 'cello, piano or trombone (and there was one trombone number by Master Ferry Is'cllson, nnd a good one, too), the t-nme skill and careful training wore manifest. man-ifest. Eah individual pupil rendered his or her selection with rare foiling, tem-pcrnmont tem-pcrnmont and skilled precision, and tho numbers were of the classic and dllllcult order of execution. Violinists Present. The violinists who took part wero: Olive Shepherd, Mary Rogawsky, Nellie Brown, Lena Levy, Bessie Barnctt, Georgia Young and Master Morris Rosenblatt; Rosen-blatt; viola, MIhs Maude Wolmer; 'cello, Mr. Ogo Jorgopsen; pianists, Annlo Gutt-terg, Gutt-terg, Norma Poderson, Rosa Brown and Eva Dun von. Robert Blrkcn, a baritone, tang very pliaelngly. Token of Esteem. At tho closo of the programme the pupils pu-pils presented Mr. Pederson with a hand-pome hand-pome gold locket set with a diamond as a token of ihclr esteem. |
