Worker Fined On I I Battery Charge t John II H Masterson former resi resident dent of St. St Louis Mo fo now employed em- em in construction work at Clearfield Saturday paid a 25 fine for battery and was released from custody of Sheriff Joseph Hol- Hol brook He appeared before Justice of the the- Peace Wendell Barnes at Kaysville Kayn who sentenced him to ix months in ill jail hut but the sentence on payment of the fine I Masterson reported attack J Albert Albert Al Al- bert T. T Smith president of the Smith Canning company company at Clearfield Clear Clear- field during a traffic jam at the northeast corner of the Clearfield naval base inflicting deep bruises while a companion attempted to pull Mr Smith out of the car Sheriff Holbrook and Deputy Dan DanE E E. E Lee made the arrest
