The hearing or tho Harden-Yon Molike case was resumed lodnv. the morning session being bo-I bo-I bind closed doors, but in the afternoon I i he courl was reopened to tho publl nflcr the examination of Fran Von ISlbe, Iho divorced wife of Count Vn Moltke, during the course of which .she modilled her former testimony lu-such :v surprising surpris-ing degree as to influence the position of the dofense to a considerable extent, many of Uardon's assertions against Von Moltke being bnsod upon hor previous declarations. Frau Elbe withdrew some of her statements state-ments derogatory to Count Von Moltkc'n character and gave to other- statements she had made nn entirely different, moan-ing moan-ing than previously implied. Her physician, phy-sician, being called to the stand, testified testi-fied that she suffered from neuritis, and a medical o.vpert. Dr. llirschlleld, who at the first trial declared that Count Von Moltke was abnormal, withdrew his expert ex-pert opinion, which had boon given after the sworn testimony of Fra.u Von Elbe on that occasion. Detectives who also, were put on the witness stand today gave evidence lo the effect thnt nothing definite w?ji known against Count Von Moliko relative to any abnoinallt;. . Tho courl appointed one of the judges lo proceed to Munich lo tako ovidence agnlnst the reliability of Frau Von Elbe, from lianien's inllinato friend, , Professor Schmlnger, who was Chancellor Von Bis-marek's Bis-marek's physician ;md who Introduced her to Harden after hearing her sweeping assertions.
