A carload of oro from tha Moscow mlno was shlpDcd to tho Valley smelt,or this morning. Tho mlno Is looking suporb. Tho owner of this great property, Mat Cullcn. Is to bo congratulated upon his good fortune. Monitor Is Rich. Two carloads of rich oro carrying gold and load values arc being shipped from tho Monitor mine, situated about a mile southeast of tho Moscow. Tho Monitor has been a great producer of rich ore, and Is again being placed in tho producing produc-ing ranks by Mr. Oullon of Salt Lako. A forco of men Is at work on tho property, prop-erty, and from present appearances tho Monitor will continue to give a good ac-countof ac-countof itself, Tho Forgle Bros., now at work on tho Nellie group, situated In South Star, on the same oro zone art tho Moscow nnd Monitor, aro malting preparations to ship a carload of ore, gold and copper, shortly. Shipment Prom Lenora. Tho Inst shipment of ore by M. L. Bur-rls Bur-rls demonstrated that the Lenora contains con-tains largo bodies of paying ore. Manager Man-ager Burrls will ship another carload in a fow davs. A strlko of rich gold oro In tho ITccla group, ten miles east of Mllford, a short distance above tho famous Cnvo mlno, In tho Bradshaw district, has recently been made. Tho ore vein, which is about four and a half feet wide, contains ore that will go as high as 5200 In gold. Nothing but good reports come from tho Old I-IIckory. The work of development develop-ment Is eminently satisfactory to tho management. Skylark Strike Improves. Tho recent strlko In the Skylark continues con-tinues to Improve as depth Is attained. At a depth of 125 feet the shaft is on oro which goes 19 per cent copper, with other metallic values. One of tho promising features of this properly Is that the ore Is forming in a spar lime, a fact which Justifies tho conclusion that tho vein will lead to a large oro body, as It Is a fact that all largo oro bodies aro found In the llmo formation. J. C. Brownlleld, managing director of tho "Wasatch King, returned from Salt Lake yesterday morning and proceeded to the mine. Joseph A. Leggctt of Troy, N. Y., president of tho company, and Secretary Sec-retary G. E. Do Freeso will visit tho mlno on the Gth Inst. Putting in a Smelter. Charles I. Clements returned from Ely, Nov., a few days ngo. Ho Is out cndea-orlng cndea-orlng to engage all tho teams available for freighting and haullncr lumber to tho mines of Ely. The Jlroux Consolidated Mines company Is putting In a smelter and concentrator, and rcqulro a vast amount of lumber and timber. This company com-pany employs about 300 men, nnd Is snld to bo one of the greatest mines In tho State of Nevada. The Copper Flat company com-pany Is operating on property In no way second to tho Jlroux. Mr. Clements says wages aro good, and that Ely never was moro prosperous than at the present time. |
