Nov. 30 -The Salt Uk High school football team won the championship cham-pionship of the entire Northwest today by defeating the Butto High school eleven by a score of 26 to 0. Tho game waa ono of the most Interesting ever seen in this City, being replete with sensational runs kicks, and other features that appealed to tho spectators Salt lako simply outclassed out-classed the locals both In advancing the ball and on tho defense, their team work being the most consistent and nearly perfect per-fect of any team ftiat has played here for a long time Butte was unable to withstand with-stand the aggt'sKlve attack of the visitors visit-ors and time and again the entire Butte line was swept completely away by tho Mormons' rushes. Bright Lights in the Game. Capt. Judaon, fullback for the Salt lake eleven, and Vaughn Paul, left tackle, were the bright lights of the game. So well did the visitors play together that It Is cllflic ult to discriminate, but the work of Judson and Paul stands out above tho rest. The kicking of the Salt Lake captain cap-tain waa the best ever seen at Columbia Gardens. Twice during the first half Judson Jud-son dropped kicked goals from the Held, once from the thlrty-Ilve yard line, and once from the forty-live yard line. His punting was superb and on each exchange ex-change of kicks. Snlt Lake netted many yards. Judson was the stur In every department de-partment of the game, gaining much ground for his team and making several spcctucular rilUS Other Star Performers Paul was easily the steadiest ground-gainer ground-gainer on the Salt Lake eleven and many times tore through the opposing team for substantial distances. In the line. Paul was a tower of strength, handling the Butte star, Crowley. In admirable fashion Harris and Quarter-back Rouse wore also stellar performers. Harris skirted the ends In remarkable style and was fast on getting down on punts. More than 1000 spectators were In the Stands and bleachers, when Judson of Salt Lake kicked off Chumberlain carried car-ried the bail back ten yards after which Butte began an assault on the Salt Lake line that netted them twenty-five yards before they lost the ball on a fumhle.
