Show OOCIETT Special to Tho Tribune. PROVO. Deo. 3. Ono of tho big events of the season was tho concert given in the Tabernacle on Friday evening by H. S. Goddard, Salt Lake's prominent barltono, assisted by J. J. McClellan, pianist, nnd AVlllard E. Welhe. violinist, and the Utah stake choir under tho direction of Prof. J. R. Boshard. Mr. Goddard with his magnificent baritone voice delighted tho audience 'with a number of arias which showed the power ns well as tho sweetness sweet-ness of his voice. Mr. Goddard was well received and won the hearts of tho musically musi-cally Inclined down this way. Mr. Welho and Prof. J. J. McClellan each renewed their friendship down this way, whero they aro well known nnd appreciated. The Fifth ward primary gavo a dance at tho assembly hall Saturday afternoon. An enjoyable tlmo was spent. About 100 children enjoyed tho occasion. Tho Five Hundred Card club were tho guests of Mrs. Grant C. Baglcy on Thursday Thurs-day ovonlng. The homo was neatly decorated deco-rated and the hosteBS did herself proud In tho ablo way In which tho ovcnlng's entertainment enter-tainment wa3 conducted. Th" Sixth ward bazar, for the benefit of the Sixth ward mcetlng-houso, on Monday, Mon-day, December 5. The enllro building will bo used. The bazar will be in the gallo-rles, gallo-rles, the entertainments will bo given In the body of the house, and the basement will be converted Into a dining hall, where tho famous Sixth ward dinners will bo served. Miss Maud May Babcock of Salt Lake City gave a dramatic recital In Provo on Friday night. A pleasant affair was that given at the home of John G, Jones In honor of tho seventy-fourth anniversary of his birth. There were present the Immediate mom-bore mom-bore of the family who came from various parts of tho Stato to attond tho reunion. There were present thlrty-sovon members of ihc family, all bearing the namo of Jones but one, Mrs. Meldrum, a daughter, who resides in Provo.
