Show A Protest From NortHalt Lake Kdlior of The Tribune Residing In the extreme northern part of the city, I am specially interested In the proposed scheme of tho City Council to terminate the rwer system ot Ninth North street and the Installation of a pump at that point of tho required capacity to pump ONTHlRD OF THE I MTV SEWAGE north to the present gravity sewer on the county r.'.nl To effect this purpose It l proposed to create nn artificial water fall at Parley's canyon reservoir Of 180 feet, erect a polo line of about ten miles, erect a power plant at the "Falls": erect an electric pump at Ninth North street, purchase two cars more or less of copper wire, employ em-ploy six eight-hour shifts to run the machinery ma-chinery nnd pump nnd still deprive us of tho benefits of tho sewer system The common people in this vicinity not having ila si lentllle acquirements, of the avcrago Councilman ask the question "Will not the sewage run northward in a gravltj sewer paralleling th River Jordan?"
