As President Roosevelt says, the Republican Re-publican party keeps lts steady course, with -pledges always -fulfilled, policies always beneficial nnd always the same; It has no need to repudiate what it has dme, and to lly off. on a new tangent, with (luring promises of what It wants to do under the new Idea, at the same time utterly repudiating the old. as the Democrats do. Thus, the Republican platform this year Is the logical expression ex-pression of a noble and unvarying course of forty years' brilliant and successful suc-cessful administration and experience beneficial to the country". On the other hand, in that time the Democrats have been on all sides of every question, -from Ignoring the tariff to repudiation and greenbacklsm. The present year, however, having found themselves so universally wrong on every public, question, they concluded that they wouldn't declare for anything-at all.
