L LI Johnson a widower of Brigham I City in 1947 Young Charlotte first began her more than a half century of or music when she began ta taking King piano lessons at the age of eight Since the age of 14 she has been organist for some type of religious religious religious reli reli- or or civic organization I She recalls many tunes played played played play play- ed on the old pedal org organ n indie in die to rock church that still stands in Farmington Mrs l Johnson has not confined her interests to music alone Flowers and handwork includIng including including ing crocheting quilting making of rugs clothes clothes' and cooking have taken much of her time These talents were of great help while rearing 12 children two of whom died at birth and four others after they had reached reach reach- ed maturity Many 1 a blue ribbon has been presented to her at fairs for her sewing and cooking It vas was not unusual for her to bake eight to ten loaves of I bread every other day for her lier I family of 10 children filling in with hot and rolls She has lived the l life e of a atypical atypical atypical typical farmers farmer's wife and m mother moth moth- ther th- th er ei making butter and raising as much of their own food as pos pos- sible Her entire life ife has been devoted devoted devoted de de- de- de voted to teaching to-teaching her children to work respect o others hers love their parents and love for their church Due to 1 her husbands husband's illness they moved from the farm to Brigham City where she found employment assisting in the kitchen at the Central school with school lunches Mr 11 died in 1945 Since her marriage to Hyrum L.
