Show "UP AGAINST IT." Ohio Company Presents Its Neighbor "With Fino Channel of Copper. To the Ohio Copper company, a neighboring bonanza on the same great copper, gold and silver-bearing zone at Bingham, Is the management of the Utah Copper company Indebted for one of the most Important disclosures in the domains of the latter, and while It has not been exploited, It Is neverthc-leoa neverthc-leoa included among Its most promising assets. The disclosure occurs In" the All's Well ledge, opened up In the Ohio and followed by It to the line at which its neighbor's rights begin. Along this stretch, the ledge was productive of some of tho best ore ever dug from the camp of copper, Mid Manager Catrow yesterday, and while lamenting, of course, his Inability to proceed further, he Is rejoicing that,1 it is (o enrich a most agreeable neighbor. At no station on the ledge was the condition more gratifying, said Mr. Catrow, than was it wheu the hour came for him to withdraw his forces and turn his b'ack upon what appears to be a fortune. For several shifts the walls of the channel had been diverging, and at this time every condition Is Indicative of an average, ave-rage, If not an enormous ore body In the neighbor's ground. While the Ohio company drew upon the ledge for a considerable amount of high-grade ore, which was sent to the valley furnaces, a cartful sampling oX the entire en-tire mass disclosed an average of l.G per cent copper, his productive of a concentrate equal to any ever dispatched dis-patched out of the camp. To this source of wealth the Utah Copper company com-pany Is moving, but moving deliberately, deliberate-ly, . as tho supply from other channels chan-nels Is keeping Its concentrator busy. However, connection- with It will havo iiccn made the present season, and to Its high-grade concentrates from an Ideal mill will then be added the high:-grade high:-grade ores of All's Well ledge. The condition Is, indeed, a cheerful one. General Manager .Tackling of the Utah Copper company, who came In from camp during' the day, , says the main level advancing south from his company's Qulnn tunnel, will Ultimately tap' the All's Well country. To reach U. however, It wjll have to be extended about 3000 feet from tho tunnel tun-nel station, and with plenty of ore on hand he I willing that posterity shall have something for which to drive. |
